Kudus Mohammed to start from bench: Ghana’s predicted lineup to face Cape Verde

Black Stars star man, Mohammed Kudus could start from bench in Ghana’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opener against Cape Verde.

Head coach Chris Hughton during his pre-match presser revealed that the West Ham United man has not fully recovered from his injury.

Despite Kudus’ potentially starting from bench, Hughton is expected to name a strong line up as he look to get off to a winning start.

Richard Ofori is expected to be in post behind a backline of Denis Odoi, Daniel Amartey, Mohammed Salisu, and Gideon Mensah.

In the middle, Salis Samed and Baba Idrissu could be the pivot in the manager’s preferred 4-2-3-1 system.

Joseph Paintsil and Jordan Ayew could be on the flanks while Inaki Williams plays behind Antoine Semenyo.

The game is set for 20:00 kickoff time.
