Accra Hearts of Oak board member, Alhaji Akambi has attributed their place on the league table to bad officiating.
The Rainbows rank 11th on the league log after accumulating 21 points in the first round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
Reacting to the team’s performance after the first half of the campaign, Alhaji Akambi expressed his disappointment and blamed some of the referees for the team’s position in the Ghananaian top-flight.
“Physically, we have challenges and problems with officiating. Our position shouldn’t have been where we are today if not bad officiating,” Akambi told Mothers FM.
“I can list some four to five matches we won but the referees decided on what they wanted to do and they did it. We follow the rules and just write to the FA if anything happens. Some of the referees have been suspended per my checks but that will not solve the problem,” he added.
