Zambia scored a first-half goal to beat Ghana 1-0 in the 1st leg of the Women’s Olympic Games third round qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Black Queens coach Nora Hauptle believes her side should have scored more than three or four goals against zambia in the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.
After the game, Nora Hauptle voiced his joy at his team’s performance despite the queen not being able to score a goal but asked for greater efficiency. According to the Swiss tactician, the team could have scored more than three or four goals to one.
“In the first half, we couldn’t create so many chances from the many possessions. normally, we should have won this game 3- 1 or 4 -1”, coach Nora Hauptle said after the game.
Nora Hauptle believes that her side can turn the scoreline in the 2nd leg fixture on Wednesday to qualifuer for the 2024 Olympic games ahead of Zambia.
“There are two games, and another 90 minutes to go. I think we did well, with how we started the game. Ghana had possession today, Ghana played football today, and the queens were showing that we can play amazing football”. She said.
The reverse fixture of the 3rd round Olympic games qualifier comes off in Ndola on Wednesday 28th feburay 2024.
