Bibiani Goldstars midfielder, Frank Amankwah, is determined to secure at least a point when his team faces Hearts of Oak in a forthcoming Ghana Premier League clash.
The Miners are bracing for a visit to the Phobians in matchday 24 of the domestic top-flight campaign, with Amankwah expressing confidence in his team’s ability to achieve a positive result.
Despite Goldstars’ inconsistent performance in the 2023/24 season, registering seven wins, eight draws, and eight losses in 23 matches, Amankwah remains optimistic about their prospects against Hearts of Oak.
In an interview with Kumasi-based Wontumi FM, the midfielder underscored the importance of the team’s returning players from injury and their focused preparation for the upcoming encounter.
“Players who were injured are back to the team. we are going into the game with all seriousness just like how we did in our previous game against Heart of Lions”
Setting their sights on securing at least a point against Hearts of Oak, Amankwah highlighted the potential benefits of such a result for Goldstars’ future performances.
“We are going to Accra to at least get a point against Hearts of Oak. Getting a point against Hearts of Oak will help us in subsequent games” he said
With eleven games remaining in the season, Bibiani Goldstars currently occupy the 13th position on the Premier League standings, amassing 29 points.
