Berekum Chelsea’s defensive pillar, Yaw Dankwah, reveals the team’s transition to embracing Head Coach Samuel Boadu’s tactics.
Despite starting the season under Christopher Ennin’s guidance, the team shifted gears midway as Boadu assumed the reins.
While Boadu may lack the same resources as in his previous coaching stints, notably with Medeama and Hearts of Oak, where he clinched the 2021 GPL title, Chelsea stands behind his technical prowess.
Darkwah commends Boadu’s coaching prowess, acknowledging his achievements at previous clubs. Despite the late start with Chelsea, Darkwah says players are gradually synchronizing with Boadu’s system and game philosophy.
“He’s a very very good coach, I need not to mention that, everyone in Ghana knows. What he did at Medeama and at Hearts is commendable. Though he didn’t join us early to take us through the second round, so little by little we the players are now adapting to his system, how he wants us to play for him. We have upgraded our game on many things as a team since he joined, we’ve not gotten there yet but we will surely get there because he has really helped us within this short period,” he said in an exclusive interview with Ghanasportspage.com.
Sitting 8th in the standings, Chelsea, trailing leaders Samartex by 11 points, boasts 2 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw in their last 5 matches. The will come up against Hearts of Oak on Wednesday at the Golden City Park in a Premier League matchweek 29 fixture.
