The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Africa are set to continue in June with Matchdays 3 and 4.
On Tuesday morning, CAF announced the appointment of Ghanaian referee Daniel Laryea to officiate the upcoming clash between Mauritania and Sudan in Nouakchott.
Mauritania is winless in their opening two games, having lost 2-0 away to DR Congo and drawn 0-0 against South Sudan, leaving them in 5th position in Group B.
Meanwhile, James Akwasi Appiah’s Sudan are second in the group after a 1-0 victory over DR Congo and a 1-1 draw with Togo.
The match between Mauritania and Sudan is scheduled for June 6th.
