Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has voiced his strong belief that Samartex 1996 is on the brink of securing the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title.
Badu, a seasoned player with experience at Kotoko and Berekum Arsenal, credited Samartex’s success to their astute recruitment for the season, which has notably bolstered the team’s performance.
Speaking to Sunyani-based Services Radio, Badu praised the team’s management for establishing solid structures that have propelled them to the top of the league.
“I tip Samartex to win the league. I have 98% belief that they will emerge as champions after the season, despite three games left to spare.”
“They have performed exceptionally well as a team, displaying remarkable tactical discipline,” he added.
Badu highlighted the team’s exceptional teamwork and tactical prowess, stating, “If any team is to claim the league trophy this year, it will undoubtedly be them.”
The Timber giants currently lead the Premier League standings with 55 points, with only three matches remaining in the 2023/24 season.
