Austin FC has signed Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari from Red Star Belgrade. The 25-year-old has agreed to a contract until the end of the 2027 season, with an option for 2028.
Bukari will occupy a designated player spot and will be eligible to play starting July 18, when the MLS Secondary Transfer Window opens.
Sporting director Rodolfo Borrell praised Bukari’s speed, technical skills, and goal-scoring ability, noting his experience in top-tier club football, including six UEFA Champions League appearances and a goal against Manchester City.
Bukari has scored 47 goals and made 55 assists in 205 matches across various clubs and has represented Ghana internationally, including in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Bukari expressed his excitement to join Austin FC and contribute to the team’s success.
Austin FC is currently fifth in the Western Conference and aims to return to the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs after being finalists in 2022.
