Ghanaian giant Asante Kotoko has released another batch of players, bringing the total number of departures to 18, just days after parting ways with 11 players on Tuesday.
The latest set of players to leave the club includes Samuel Asamoah, Nanabayin Amoah, Isahaku Fuseini, Rocky Dwamena, Richmond Opoku, Julius Ofori Ziggy, and youngster Shadrack Addo.
The mass exodus comes after the club failed to win the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, instead finishing sixth.
The departures are part of the club’s efforts to revamp the squad and rebuild for a stronger push in the upcoming season.The players who left the club earlier this week were Kalo Ouattara, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong, Nicholas Mensah, John Tedeku, Sherif Mohammed, George Mfegue, Serge Eric Zeze, Danlad Ibrahim, and Moise Pouaty.
