Hearts of Oak are leading the race to sign talented Nations FC defender Michael Awuah Mensah ahead of the upcoming season.
According to Kumasi FM journalist Owusu Ansah Simple, the Phobians have made a proposal and are currently at the front of the queue to secure the services of the 23-year-old centre-back.
It’s claimed that Hearts of Oak are joined by bitter rivals Asante Kotoko in the pursuit of Awuah Mensah, who is expected to leave Nations FC this summer.
While a fee has reportedly been agreed upon with the Abrakese-based side, the player is yet to agree on personal terms with the Rainbow Boys.
Awuah Mensah impressed in 28 appearances for Nations FC in the just-concluded Ghana Premier League campaign, and it’s no surprise that several clubs are eager to snap him up.
With Hearts of Oak seemingly leading the charge, fans of the Phobians will be hoping their team can seal the deal and strengthen their backline with the talented young defender.
