Midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has revealed that he has fulfilled a lifelong dream of playing for Asante Kotoko, the club he aspired to join as a child.
Antwi joined the Kumasi-based club on a free transfer after mutually leaving Great Olympics in the ongoing transfer window.
The 24-year-old midfielder has committed to a three-year contract with the Porcupines, following a successful medical examination in Kumasi.
Antwi, who has excelled in his last two seasons with Great Olympics, made 26 appearances in the last league campaign, contributing six goals and five assists.
Speaking to Kotoko media, Antwi expressed his long-held aspiration to join the club:
“I am thrilled to be here as it has been a childhood dream of mine to play for Kotoko. I am excited to wear the jersey and look forward to contributing to the team. Knowing some of the current players will help me settle in quickly and focus on the task ahead.”
