Asante Kotoko have made a major signing in the transfer window, snapping up former Liberty Professionals marksman Elvis Kyei Baffour after a successful two-week trial.
The 27-year-old attacker has joined the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year contract and has already started training with the team ahead of their upcoming match in the Democracy Cup on July 17.
Kyei Baffour was Liberty Professionals’ top scorer in the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season, netting eight goals in 15 matches. A native of Kumasi, he has been an avid fan of Asante Kotoko since childhood, making this move a dream come true for the forward.
The signing of Kyei Baffour is the fourth of the off-season for Asante Kotoko, following the arrivals of Ndongani Samba, Emmanuel Antwi, Esmat Hassabalbagi, and Yoouef Yagoub. With Kyei Baffour now part of the team, fans are eager to see how he will fit into the squad and contribute to their success in the new season.
