Done deal: Hearts of Oak gets a new goalkeeper

Benjamin Asare has reportedly passed his medical in Accra ahead of his transfer from Great Olympics to Hearts of Oak.

The goalkeeper is poised to join Aboubakar Ouattara’s squad and is expected to take over the club’s number one spot.

Hearts of Oak have been negotiating with Great Olympics for Asare’s transfer over the past week, and sources indicate that an agreement has been reached.

Asare is scheduled to meet with Hearts of Oak’s Managing Director later today to finalize the deal and sign his contract.

The 32-year-old goalkeeper is anticipated to sign a two-year deal with the Phobians. This move comes as Hearts of Oak aims to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, following a challenging season that nearly saw them relegated.
