Ghanaian defender Kofi Agbesimah has officially joined Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex 1996 on a two-year deal, pending official club announcement.
The 27-year-old center-back has put an end to his tenure with Hearts of Oak, where he only spent a season after terminating his contract.
Agbesimah had an illustrious five-year stint with Bechem United, serving as team captain for almost three seasons before making the switch. In the just-concluded season, he impressed in the Rainbow colours, making 30 league appearances and scoring a goal.
According to renowned journalist Shaban Mohammed, Agbesimah has agreed to join the Timber Giants on a two-year deal.
The club is preparing for the upcoming season and will face Cameroonian side TP Elect Sport FC in the first preliminary round of the 2024/25 CAF Champions League.
