Asante Kotoko has reached a full agreement with Berekum Chelsea for the services of right-back Lord Amoah, as the Porcupines look to strengthen their defense ahead of the new season.
The 21-year-old is expected to arrive in Kumasi on Friday to undergo a medical examination, a standard procedure before officially joining the team.
If he passes his medical, Amoah will put pen to paper on a three-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2027.
The former Benab FC defender’s addition is expected to bring much-needed strength and expertise to Kotoko’s defense, having impressed in the Ghana Premier League with Berekum Chelsea last season.
During his time with the Bibires, Amoah featured 29 times, providing four assists and contributing significantly to Chelsea’s third-place finish.
His signing is seen as a major coup for Kotoko, who are looking to improve their fortunes after a disappointing campaign last season.
