Former GPL champions, Medeama SC are looking to hijack Hearts of Oak’s move for Francis Andy Kumi.
Earlier reports indicate that the Rainbows are in talks to sign the former Kotoku Royals attacker as they continue to reshape their squad for the upcoming campaign but the Tarkwa-based club are also making an attempt to capture his signature.
Hearts of Oak need to beef up their squad following their abysmal performance in the 20223/24 season.
Kumi, 24, has this afternoon met the management of the Rainbows but is yet to agree on contract terms over a move to the Accra-based club, according to Ghanasportspage.
However, the 2022/23 league champions have started negotiations with the player’s representatives in a bid to hijack Hearts of Oak’s move for the prolific attacker.
The coming days will be crucial as both GPL clubs continue their pursuit of the former Kotoko striker.
