Asante Kotoko have opened talks with Rwandan international forward, Patrick Sibomama over a possible transfer, according to Nhyira FM report.
The Porcupines are looking to boolster their attacking options after missing out on Guinean forward Morrifing Donzo who decided to stay with Hafia Club.
Kotoko have now turned their attention on Rwandan national team striker Patrick Sibomama who’s a free agent, having ended his stint with Kenyan giants, Gor Mahia.
Sibomana, 27, is highly experienced having played for Isonga and APR in his native Rwanda before moving to Belarus where he briefly played for Shakhtyor Soligorsk. He then returned home to play for Mukura Victory and Police FC with a stint at Tanzanian giants Young Africans (Yanga) in between before heading to Mozambique.
However, Nhyira FM report indicate that, Kotoko and the player have reached an advanced stage with their talks trying to agree on personal terms before moving to Kumasi for his medical.
The Rwandese likes to operate on the left wing although he can also play centrally or on the right flank.
He has featured 17 times for the Rwandan national team, scoring two goals in the process and he played a crucial role in Rwanda’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers first round games.
