Former Legon Cities winger Stephen Appiah Asare is on the brink of a move to Hearts of Oak.
The 28-year-old, who made a notable impact at Cities with two goals and one assist in 14 matches during the latter half of the 2023-24 season, is close to finalizing a two-year contract with the Phobians.
Reports indicate that Appiah Asare has been training with Hearts for several weeks and has impressed head coach Aboubakar Ouattara.
Local media in Kumasi has confirmed that the deal is approximately 60% complete and is expected to be finalized soon.
Initially, Asante Kotoko had expressed interest in the winger, but negotiations did not materialize, allowing Hearts to secure the player’s signature.
Appiah Asare’s addition is expected to bolster Hearts of Oak’s squad, enhancing their attacking options as they prepare for the upcoming season.
