Asante Kotoko have made a move to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season, as they have officially approached Medeama SC for the services of left winger Osah Tetteh Bernadinho.
The 28-year-old winger has a contract with Medeama until 2026, and has been identified as a key target for the Porcupines. Bernadinho joined Medeama in 2023 from Atram De Visser, and has been a top performer for the Tarkwa-based club, netting two goals in 21 appearances last season.
Not only is Kotoko interested in Bernadinho, but they have also inquired about midfielder Godfred Abban, who has also been a transfer target for the Porcupines. However, Medeama are yet to respond to the letter, leaving the fate of the two players uncertain.
Bernadinho has a rich experience in European football, having played for Westerlo in Belgium and ASV Gee and Heist in the Netherlands. He also featured for Great Olympics in Ghana and Atlético Ottawa in Canada.
His versatility and goal-scoring ability make him an attractive target for Kotoko, as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The Porcupines are eager to bolster their squad and are willing to bring Bernadinho to Kumasi ahead of the new season. However, it remains to be seen whether Medeama will be willing to let him go or hold on to his services.
