Former Asante Kotoko defender Yussif Mubarik has officially joined Premier League campaigners Medeama SC ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The 28-year-old joins the Tarkwa-based outfit on a free transfer after signing a two-year contract to mark his return to Ghanaian top-flight league. Mubarik has been unattached since leaving Philippines top-tier club Manila Digger F.C last month.
During his days at Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold SC, he was arguably one of the highly-rated defenders in the Ghana Premier League and helped the Porcupine Warriors to clinch their last Premier League title in 2021.
He left Asante Kotoko in 2023 for Nepali side FC Chitwan before leaving for Manila Digger F.C in Philippines earlier this year.
Mubarik was once invited to the Black Galaxies of Ghana team under coach Maxwell Konadu.
