The Black Stars’ 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign continued with a frustrating 1-1 draw against Niger at the Stade Municipal Berkane in Morocco.
Playing at a neutral venue, Ghana struggled to find rhythm and ultimately dropped two valuable points.Alidu Seidu opened the scoring for Ghana in the first half, with his strike deflecting off a Niger player to wrongfoot the goalkeeper.
However, the Black Stars failed to build on their lead, and Niger’s Oumar Sako equalized with just 10 minutes left after a chaotic scramble in Ghana’s box.

Despite his efforts, he couldn’t prevent the equalizer during the defensive scramble.
Tariq Lamptey – 5 Lamptey had a steady performance, showing good fitness and making several important clearances.
He contributed with his overlapping runs but wasn’t as impactful as in previous matches.
Alidu Seidu – 6 Playing out of position at left-back, Seidu performed well defensively and scored Ghana’s goal.
However, he struggled with clearances and crosses on his weaker left foot.
