Popular Ghanaian gospel musician, Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong ‘Great Ampong’ has blamed Coach Otto Addo for Inaki Williams poor performance in the Black Stars.
The Athletic Bilbao striker has struggled to shine in the colours of Ghana and has recorded just one goal since making his debut 2022.
His only goal came against Madagascar, helping Ghana to pick a 1-0 win at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to open their World Cup 2026 qualifiers nine months ago.
Following the Black Stars’ recent slump against Angola and Niger, the Ghanaian musician has laid into Inaki’s lack of goals since joining the national team, critizing Otto Addo for the player’s poor performance.
“Although I am not a coach but I can coach Inaki Williams to score because he knows how to run. He has the pace and you could see that when playing for Athletic Bilbao. They always give him a good passer of the ball and who can swing in the passes but our boys like dribbling and we will blame Inaki at the end of the day.
“A good coach will look for players like Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah or Wakaso to feed him because he can run but Otto Addo is not a coach. I am telling you the truth,” he told Edward King Akuffo on Atinka Tv.
“I can coach Inaki Williams to score in every game. He just needs a good passer of the ball. Otto Addo is no where near the Black Stars. We hate the truth in this country and we will continue to suffer,” said Great Ampong.
