Four Ghana Premier League (GPL) clubs—Hearts of Oak, Accra Lions, Dreams FC, and Legon Cities—will now share the University of Ghana Stadium as their home ground following the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium for maintenance.
Legon Cities already use the University of Ghana Stadium as their primary venue, but the recent closure has forced Hearts of Oak, Accra Lions, and Dreams FC to relocate their home matches to the facility.
Hearts of Oak will face Bechem United at the stadium this weekend, while Dreams FC will host Kpando Heart of Lions. Accra Lions are also set to play their upcoming match at the same venue.
The University of Ghana Stadium, which underwent a $34 million renovation ahead of the Accra African Games, now boasts a seating capacity of 10,000 and meets international standards for hosting football matches.
