Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has hailed former striker Franck Etouga Mbella as the finest player he has ever coached, praising the Cameroonian international’s impact during his time at the club.
Mbella made a remarkable impression in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season, scoring 18 goals and securing the Golden Boot award. His goalscoring prowess played a pivotal role in helping Kotoko clinch the league title.
In an interview with TV3, Ogum expressed admiration for the striker’s technical abilities, describing him as a “killer” on the field.”I would choose Mbella; he is technically skilled and truly a game-changer,” Ogum said.
Reflecting on his most challenging away venue in the Ghana Premier League, Ogum pointed to Dormaa Ahenkro, the home ground of Aduana Stars.After a challenging 2023/24 campaign, Ogum is determined to lead Asante Kotoko to success this season.
