Hearts of Oak have entered the race to sign Isaac Mintah, who has been a target for Asante Kotoko ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The 25-year-old forward is currently a free agent after parting ways with Libyan club Al-Ahli, where he spent a brief period following a standout performance for Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League last season. Mintah joined Al-Ahli in February 2024, but after a short stint in Libya, he has returned to Ghana, seeking a move in the second transfer window.
The former New Edubiase United player has been training with Asante Kotoko since October, where the club’s technical team has been evaluating his capabilities. However, according to Kumasi-based Kessben FM, Hearts of Oak, Kotoko’s fierce rivals, are also keen on securing his services to bolster their attacking options.
Mintah, who scored 17 goals and provided 4 assists in 40 appearances for Aduana Stars before moving abroad, will now be at the center of a transfer battle between the two Ghanaian giants.
