Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah has urged the club’s supporters to pack the Baba Yara Stadium as the Porcupine Warriors prepare for their eagerly awaited Super Clash against archrivals Hearts of Oak on Matchday 13 of the Ghana Premier League.
Both teams will square off in what promises to be a thrilling encounter between two of Ghana’s most prestigious football clubs.
Hearts of Oak will be desperate to end a three-match losing streak, while Kotoko will be aiming to extend their own winning run.
Amoah, who is currently with the Black Galaxies squad preparing for the upcoming CAHN qualifier against Nigeria, spoke ahead of the game, calling on Kotoko fans to fill the stadium.
“Our game against Hearts of Oak will be interesting. I will urge the fans to troop to the stadium in their numbers to cheer us up. We promise to give them what they want,” Amoah said.
The former Great Olympics striker has been in outstanding form this season, scoring six goals in 11 league appearances. He is expected to rejoin the Kotoko camp ahead of the crucial clash.
Asante Kotoko currently occupy 7th place in the league standings with 18 points, while Hearts of Oak are just one point ahead in 6th place with 19 points, making this fixture a pivotal encounter for both sides.
