Former Black Galaxies head coach Annor Walker has expressed confidence in the team’s ability to secure a win against Nigeria in the first leg of the 2024 CHAN Qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana’s home-based national team will host their Nigerian counterparts on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in a crucial playoff fixture.
Walker, who guided the Black Galaxies to victory over Nigeria in the 2022 CHAN playoffs, believes current head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has the tools to replicate that success.
“What they are doing at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence shows they are well-prepared and capable of winning at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday,” Walker told Asempa FM.
“I am confident Didi Dramani will secure a victory in the first leg before heading to Nigeria for the second leg,” he added.
The Black Galaxies will aim to capitalize on home advantage in the first leg before traveling to Nigeria the following week for the reverse fixture.
The winner of the two-legged tie will book a spot in the 2024 CHAN tournament, set to be hosted in East Africa.
