Asante Kotoko legend Sarfo Gyamfi has issued a stern warning to Ghana Premier League (GPL) clubs, urging them to brace for a dominant Porcupine Warriors side.
The Kumasi-based club has regained form, securing four wins and a draw in their last five matches. This resurgence has propelled Kotoko to 4th place on the GPL table with 28 points after 16 games.
Gyamfi, who watched Kotoko defeat Acceler8 FC 2-0 in the FA Cup, is confident that no Premier League side will find it easy against his former club.
“The team struggled at the start of the season, but we identified the issues and resolved them. Now, I can boldly say that Ghana Premier League clubs will struggle to beat us,” Gyamfi declared.
Kotoko’s next test comes on Sunday when they host league debutants Vision FC at the Baba Yara Stadium in a crucial matchday 17 clash.
The Porcupine Warriors will aim to close out the first half of the season on a high note as they continue their pursuit of another league title.
