Former Asante Kotoko management team member, Akwasi Serebour Boateng, has placed a ₵10,000 bounty on the suspect responsible for the murder of Kotoko fan, Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Pooley.
The tragic incident, which occurred after Kotoko’s match against Nsoatreman FC, has sparked widespread outrage, with calls for justice intensifying.
In an effort to assist law enforcement, Serebour Boateng has pledged a cash reward to anyone who provides credible information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
Police investigations have so far identified a suspect named Brimah, who is said to be on the run. Authorities continue their manhunt as fans and stakeholders demand swift action.
Asante Kotoko’s Communications Director, Sarfo Duku Esq revealed in an interview that all the accused persons in police custody have admitted that Brimah was the one who stabbed Pooley to death.
“According to the police, I’m talking to their facts which are now public documents, all the accused persons have admitted to the fact that it was that guy called Brimah, who is now at large, that stabbed Pooley to death,” he added.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko has hosted a night virgil as well as the one-week observation for the deceased die-hard fan with the date for the final funeral rites yet to be announced.
