Asante Kotoko will host Legon Cities at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for their upcoming Ghana Premier League Matchday 23 fixture, following confirmation from Kotoko.
The Reds, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), indicated the game will come off at the venue despite earlier uncertainties surrounding the suitability of the stadium.
The club appears to have received the green light for the game to proceed at the historic venue on Sunday, March 9, at 3:00 PM.
This confirmation comes as a relief to Kotoko and their supporters, as reports earlier suggested that Baba Yara Stadium, along with several other league venues, had been deemed unsuitable due to new Enhanced Safety and Security Protocols.
However, the latest approval ensures that the Porcupine Warriors can continue using their home ground for league fixtures.
The Porcupine Warriors will be looking to capitalize on home advantage as they push for a strong finish in the league.
This will be their first game since losing their dedicated fan Nana Pooley in their last game against Nsoatreman FC.
