Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has conceded that his side faces an uphill battle in the Ghana Premier League title race, but insists the fight isn’t over yet.
Speaking after Kotoko’s goalless draw with rivals Hearts of Oak, Zito acknowledged the club’s current position on the league table does not favor a title push.
“When you look at the table and see where we are lying, our chances of winning are very slim,” he admitted.
However, the veteran coach remains hopeful, invoking a determined spirit to keep pushing until the final whistle of the season.
“But I say, until it is over, it is not over yet,” Zito added, suggesting that Kotoko will continue to fight for every point with the slim hope of a dramatic late surge.
Kotoko, following the draw in the Super Clash, are just three points behind the leaders Nation FC who are on 54 points.
