The Ghana Football Association announces that the Registration Window for the 2025/26 football season will open on Monday, June 23, 2025, for all affiliate clubs. The opening of the registration window is in accordance with the GFA Regulations which make provisions for the opening of the main registration before commencement of each football season.

Closure of Registration Window: Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 23:59 GMT
Deadline for Responding to all Queried Registrations: Monday, September 1, 2025 at 23:59 GMT
All queries must be answered by clubs within 3 days, including weekends and holidays.
All clubs are expected to complete their registration before the deadline. Clubs are to note that there shall be no extension, and the deadline SHALL be enforced strictly.
As the 2025/26 registration window opens on Monday, June 23, 2025, the following Directives are to be observed strictly:
All queries for 2024/25 season on club’s dashboard when vetted after May 30, 2025, will revert to 2024/25 season and therefore clubs will have to renew the registration of the players again for the 2025/26 season.
Payment of registration licenses MUST be made before applications can be submitted for vetting; hence proof of payment must be submitted to the Finance Department to update the club’s PAYMENT WALLET.
Payment rates: Professional Players – GHc50; Amateur Players – GHc10; Team and Club Officials – GHc50.
All registration payments must be made to the GFA MTN MOMO Number 0557 927 057 and Proof of Payment Form sent to [email protected].
Kindly pay for all registration fees at least 2 days before Deadline Day. Please note that any registration fee paid on Deadline Day or Deadline Day minus 1, SHALL not be loaded.
Clubs who submit wrong, fake, unreadable documents in their application, SHALL have their applications for registration rejected in the system and a new application shall attract a new registration fee.
The GHANA CARD and PASSPORT shall be the only proof of identity documents for registration for renewals, transfers and new registration. For players aged below 15 years, Passport or digital birth certificate could be used. All foreign players must use their passports.
Old passport pictures in the system must be changed to current pictures. Old pictures shall be rejected.
All Professional transfers of players (both domestic and international transfers) must be done in the Transfer Matching System (TMS) before registration can be completed in the registration system (FIFA Connect).
All Clubs are to ensure that they check the player’s name in the system, before registering a player as a new player to avoid double registration and its consequences. Note that registration of a player as a new player to the system means you take responsibility for the consequences of sanction.
Where a Club refuses to release an Amateur Player to the new club, the GFA shall release the Amateur Player to the new club per the FIFA and GFA Regulations to ensure smooth registration of such an Amateur player.
Where a Club refuses to counter instruct a transfer request in the DTMS when there is a transfer agreement or the previous transfer has expired, the player involved will be declared free and all the benefits in the transfer agreement will be nullified.
The DFAs, RFAs, and GFA shall not accept affiliation fees from clubs who have not registered their players in the FIFA Connect to participate in their leagues. Inactive clubs are not supposed to participate in any organised competition of the GFA and cease to be members of the Association.
“Responsibility for the truthfulness of information on players’ registration lies on the clubs and not on the GFA” per the GFA Regulations.
Once again, the Association wishes to remind all clubs to be mindful of the importance of the deadlines provided, the strict compliance regime and the consequences for failing to adhere to the deadlines.
