Asante Kotoko SC have officially announced the appointment of Coach Hamza Obeng Mohammed as part of their technical setup ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The former assistant coach of Accra Hearts of Oak and Vision FC will take up a dual role with the Porcupine Warriors, serving as both assistant coach of the senior team and head coach of the youth side, Young Porcupines.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Hamza Obeng Mohammed as assistant coach for the senior team and head coach for the Young Porcupines for a two-year period,” the club stated in an official release.
Hamza brings valuable experience to the Kumasi-based giants, having worked under top-tier management structures in the Ghana Premier League. His appointment is part of Kotoko’s broader restructuring plan aimed at building a strong technical team and grooming young talent for future integration into the first team.
Hamza’s primary responsibilities will include assisting head coach Abdul Karim Zito with the senior team while also spearheading the development of young players within the club’s academy.
His appointment takes immediate effect Andy this will be in the dugout for Kotoko during their MTN FA Cup final game against Golden Kicks on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
