Accra Hearts of Oak have taken a major step toward strengthening their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana football season by announcing the formation of a Recruitment Committee.
This initiative, revealed in a club statement on June 17, 2025, is aimed at building a competitive team capable of matching the club’s long-term ambitions.
The newly established committee comprises members from the club’s Board, Management, and Technical Team, and is tasked with assessing current squad performances while identifying and pursuing potential new recruits.
The committee’s approach is heavily rooted in data analytics, as Hearts seek to address key areas that require reinforcement based on statistical evaluation and tactical needs.
According to the statement, priority will be given to players with proven experience in top-flight football, particularly those who align with the technical team’s tactical philosophy. Already, discussions are ongoing with clubs regarding some of the shortlisted targets, with progress said to be encouraging.
In parallel, the club is also reviewing the roles of existing players to ensure their alignment with the club’s strategic goals. Players who are deemed surplus to requirements will be let go, as Hearts aim to maintain a lean and effective squad heading into the new campaign.

Training is scheduled to resume on Friday, June 20, as the club intensifies preparations for the new season, which includes participation in the 2025 President’s Cup clash against rivals Asante Kotoko on July 6.
