Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Fredrick Asare has officially bid farewell to the club after three memorable years, marking the end of a chapter filled with growth, triumph, and unforgettable moments.

In a heartfelt message shared on his social media platforms, Asare expressed deep gratitude to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the club’s management, his teammates, and the passionate Kotoko supporters for their unwavering support throughout his journey.

“From the depth of my heart, I say a very big THANK YOU to His Royal Majesty, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, the management, teammates, and of course, the amazing supporters of this GREAT CLUB,” he wrote.

“I came here as a young boy, but after 3 wonderful years, this club has transformed me into a warrior.”

Asare notably captained Kotoko during their successful 2025 MTN FA Cup campaign, a feat he described as one of the proudest moments of his career.

“The honour of wearing the armband of this great club and leading the team to lift this year’s FA Cup is a memory that will live with me forever.”

Although he is leaving the club, Asare made it clear that Kotoko will always hold a special place in his heart.

“I will FOREVER remain one of you, and the great memories we have shared will be with me forever. This isn’t a goodbye.”

Fredrick Asare’s departure marks the end of an impactful spell at Kotoko, where he matured from a promising young talent into a reliable and respected figure between the posts.
