Asante Kotoko have officially announced the signing of highly-rated midfielder Hubert Gyau from Berekum Chelsea on a four-year deal, further strengthening their midfield ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The 20-year-old starlet joins the Porcupine Warriors after two impressive seasons in the top flight.
He made his breakthrough in the 2023/24 season as an 18-year-old, registering a dozen appearances, and followed it up with a standout 2024/25 campaign, where he featured in 27 matches and became a central figure for Berekum Chelsea.
Known for his composure, work rate, versatility, and football intelligence, Gyau is comfortable operating across all areas of the midfield and is viewed as one of the brightest young talents in Ghanaian football.
Speaking to Kotoko media after signing, Gyau said:
“I’m proud to be joining Asante Kotoko. I believe this is the right place for me to develop further. My aim is to help the club win things immediately, and to use this opportunity to take another big step in my career by earning a move to a top European club one day.”
His arrival aligns with Kotoko’s long-term vision of blending youth with experience as they aim to return to the summit of Ghanaian football and compete strongly on the continental stage.
