Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia have officially appointed Charles Kwabla (C.K) Akonnor as the club’s new head coach ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The experienced Ghanaian tactician, who has previously managed Ghana’s national team, joins the record Kenyan champions with a wealth of knowledge and high expectations to restore the club’s dominance both locally and on the continental stage.
In a further boost to the technical team, fellow Ghanaian coach Bismark Kobi Mensah has been named assistant coach while Ben Owu takes the goalkeeper’s role, forming an all-Ghanaian managerial duo at the helm of the club.
The appointments mark a new chapter for Gor Mahia as they seek to build a competitive squad for the league.
The missed out on the league last season and thus will not participate in continental competition in the upcoming campaign.
