Ghana League Clubs Association Top 4 competition for 2024/25 football season has been moved to University of Ghana Sports Stadium as the venue for the top four tournament.
The games, which kick off on August 20, were initially scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium and then moved to Accra Sports Stadium.
However, according to reports in the local media suggests that the National Sports Authority has moved the venue to UG Stadium because Accra Sports Stadium is currently reserve for the FIFA World Cup qualifier game between Ghana and Mali.
Ghana will host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8th 2025 as Ghana eager to qualify for the upcoming World Cup competition.
The Accra Sports Stadium, which is currently a ground for international assignments and set to host the Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers match against Mali on September 8, will not be available for the Top Four competition.
The competition involves last season’s GPL top finishers – Bibiani GoldStars, Heart of Lions, Asante Kotoko, and Hearts of Oak – as preparation ahead of the league resumption.The Ghana Premier League is set to begin on the weekend of September 12.
