Karim Zito despite a short stint after replacing Prosper Nartey Ogum won the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup title for the Porcupine Warriors granting Kotoko a ticket to play in Africa. He also clinched the President Cup and Toyota Cup.
Former midfielder of Asante Kotoko SC Michael Akuffo believes Zito has a lot to offer the club and will definitely transform the team.
“It’s a big plus for the team when you look at what Karim Zito did with Dreams FC in the CAF Confederation Cup. So when his name was mentioned for Kotoko, I didn’t see anything wrong because I’ve known him since childhood”
“Giving the job to him will help transition Kotoko into something different”, he told Radio Gold.
“Last season was very difficult, but when he came, he changed certain dynamics, and at the end of the day, the team won laurels.”
