The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams paid a warm visit to Asante Kotoko SC at their training base in Accra as they prepare for their first preliminary game of the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup game.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC for winning the MTN FA Cup last season gets to represent Ghana in Africa.
They have being paired with Nigerian outfit Kwara United FC at the preliminary round. Kotoko will come face to face with Kwara United FC at the Accra Sports Stadium this weekend- Sunday.
Ahead of the crunchy encounter, the Sports Minister Hon. Kofi Adams as well as Kwabena Yeboah, Sports Writers Association of Ghana(SWAG) President visited their training session on Friday.
The visit was a well wishing one, and to offer morale bolster to the entire team with Hon. Kofi Adams charging Asante Kotoko SC to beat Kwara United FC at home and also ensure qualification to the next round of qualifiers.
The clash is scheduled for Sunday at exactly 3:00 pm, Accra sports stadium.
Victory for Asante Kotoko SC at home, will mean a draw away in the second leg gets them through.
