Kwara United head coach, Sanni Tunde, has expressed optimism about his team’s chances of overturning their narrow defeat to Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg on Sunday, September 22.
Despite conceding four goals in Ghana, Tunde believes his side were simply unlucky on the day and will respond strongly when the tie shifts to Nigeria.
“Our assumption is not what we met. They are a bit luckier today, that’s it.
They are a bit luckier, but they are coming to meet us at home,” he said after the match.
Kwara show edition great fighting spirit in the 4-3 defeat to Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Kwara United will now host the Porcupine Warriors at the M.K.O. Abiola International Stadium in Abuja on Sunday, September 28, where they aim to complete a comeback and secure qualification to the next stage of the competition.
