Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has emphasized the importance of mentality and continuous improvement after his side’s narrow win against Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League.
The former Black Stars coach secured his first leagues win for the Phobians following a 0-1 away win on Monday, September 22, 2025.
“Our character leading into this game was to set up the right mentality. We were to set up the mentality of winning, and so irrespective of how the game was going, we needed to keep that,” Dramani said after the game.
The coach admitted that while the victory was vital, there is still room for growth across all levels of the team.
“Individually, there is a lot I have to improve, there is a lot that my staff have to improve in terms of technical influence. There is a lot our players have to improve. So, everyone involved in our team has something to improve. That is why we will continue to make mistakes, but we won’t stop trying. We will learn from our mistakes,” he added.
The win sees Hearts of Oak climb to fourth place on the league table. The Phobians will now prepare for their Week 3 clash against Eleven Wonders.
