The Black Stars technical team has named a fresh-looking starting XI for Ghana’s international friendly against South Korea, featuring a blend of home-based talent and emerging European prospects.
Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare and Medeama’s Prince Owusu are the two home-based played named in the line up.
Asare is set to start in goal, after missing the previous game against Japan due to late arrival. He will be protected by a defensive line comprising Alidu Seidu, Caleb Yirenkyi, Jonas Adjetey, and Gideon Mensah.
In midfield, Kojo Peprah Oppong and Kwasi Sibo will anchor the center of the pitch, with creative duties handed to Prince Owusu, who features for just his second game for Ghana.
Kamaldeen Sulemana returns to the starting team, offering pace and flair on the left flank while Cheistopher Baah Bonsu takes the right flank.
Victoria Plezn striker Prince Kwabena Adu will lead the line.
The friendly against South Korea forms part of Ghana’s preparations for the World Cup, with the technical team using the match to assess depth and experiment with new combinations.
The game is scheduled for 11:00 GMT kick off time.
