Ghanaian tactician Augustine Evans Adotey has stepped down as gaffer of Premier league club Basake Holy Stars FC, following a difficult start to this seasons campaign.
The former Medeama SC coach believes the Aiyinase based outfit have struggled under his stewardship, harvesting some disappointing results not worth considering, hence decided to end relationship.
This comes as a shock, with few hours to Basake Holy Stars hosting Asante Kotoko SC in 2025/26 Premier league outstanding game on Wednesday.
Basake is currently battling to survive relegation, after Adotey accumulating six points in 10 matches. He harvested just one victory, accompanied by three draws and six defeats.
With Adotey’s departure, Holy Stars are now expected to begin the search for a new head coach as they look to revive their season and escape the drop zone.
