Former head coach of Eleven Wonders FC, Nii Odartey Lamptey says he is not to blame for the struggles of Eleven Wonders team during his tenure.
The former Ghana international prior to the start of 2025/26 league season, received appointment to manage the newly promoted Ghana Premier league club but his spell was cut short following some unpleasant results harvested.
Eleven Wonders poor run led to Nii Odartey departing the side, however their struggles still continues as they have yet to register a single win in the league after 11 matches. They sit bottom of the log with just three points.
Since Odartey left, experienced Ghanaian tactician Josep Emmanuel Sarpong stepped in but lasted just 20-days in office due to club challenges. It is with this, that Nii Odartey Lamptey defends his tenure as the club coach, saying woes of the club was never coaching.
“I heard that I was the one who was not performing, and so the club decided to part ways with me but the issues of Eleven Wonders were never down to coaching”, he told Asempa FM.
“Three weeks after taking over the club, I knew what these players could do but alot of things were going wrong within the club”.
Eleven Wonders FC will take on Dreams FC in week 12 fixture, hoping to secure their first victory of the season.
