Asante Kotoko captain Samba O’Neil has expressed mixed feelings after scoring in Kotoko’s draw against Medeama on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Samba scored in the club’s 2-2 draw against Medeama to save the Reds from a back-to-back defeat.
The Congolese, in a post on Twitter, asserted his delight over his role in the draw, but indicated that the result is more significant.
“Glad I could contribute a goal, but the result is all that matters,” he wrote on X.
He further assured that the team will look to right the wrongs in their next game before showing gratitude to the fans.
“We learn from this and come back stronger. The focus is now on the next game. Huge thanks to my fans , you are my anchor.” Samba wrote on X
Samba scored a late equalizer to salvage a point, connecting Lord Amoah’s freekick with a beautiful header.
Asante Kotoko, following the draw, sit fifth on the table with 21 while Medeama climbed to the summit with 23 points.
The Porcupine Warriors will face newly promoted side Hohoe United on matchday 12 of the Ghana Premier League.
