The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt E.S Okraku has reacted after seeing Ghana national women’s team – Black Queen’s stand toe to toe with the Lionesses of England in a friendly encounter.
Ghana for the very first time, engaged England in a friendly game at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on Tuesday night. The clash formed part of
rebuilding under the new technical leadership ahead of upcoming Africa Women’s Cup of Nations tournament.
The Black Queen’s suffered a 2-0 defeat, following each half goal. However, a cheap first half goal could not downplay the enigmatic performance of Coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren’s side as they match the Lionesses of England with beautiful football display.
Despite, conceding a handball penalty in the stoppage time of the second half to suffer a 2-0 defeat, Kurt E.S Okraku has expressed excitement over the display of the Black Queen’s, revealing he’s very proud of them.
Highlighting the promising future of the team.
“Very very proud of this team.
What a promising future!!!”
