Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku says he is hopeful of a favourable outcome as the Black Stars await their group opponents for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Okraku, who becomes only the second FA president to lead Ghana to the global showpiece, believes a good draw will set the tone for strong preparations ahead of next summer’s tournament.
“I expect Ghana gets a good group and I expect us to move to the next level of preparations after the draw. I expect us to do well,” he said in a video shared on social media.
The GFA boss is currently in the United States, where the draw will take place, accompanied by Black Stars head coach Otto Addo and members of the team’s management committee.
The event is scheduled for 16:00 GMT in Washington D.C.
Ghana will be making their fifth appearance at the World Cup and will be hoping to improve on their performance after missing out on the knockout stages in 2022.
