Kpando Hearts of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford bemoans his attackers inability to convert simple goalscoring opportunities in the ongoing 2025/26 league season.
Following their defeat, at home to Medeama SC this weekend Bashir Hayford asserted his outfit failed to convert their chances and gave the game away to Medeama SC. Hearts of Lions missed big clear goalscoring opportunities, including tap in goals to suffer a 1-0 home defeat.
At post match, the experienced Ghanaian gaffer admitted Medeama SC utilized their chance but blasted his strikers insisting some chances ought to have been converted since, class one students can easily execute for a finish.
“Nothing went wrong for us against Medeama SC. We created our chances but failed to convert them, while they took theirs. That made the difference,” Bashir said.
“The attackers are my main concern now. Some of the chances we create are ones even a class one striker should be finishing. I take them to training, drill them over and over, but when we get to the match, they fail to score”.
The defeat leaves Hearts of Lions FC 8th on the league standings with 23 points, after match week 16.
