Ghana Premier league giant’s Accra Hearts of Oak SC, are currently knocking doors for transfer ban placed on them, lifted before the closure of the ongoing transfer window.

The Continental Club Masters have being hit with a transfer ban after failing to settle their financial obligations with former technical director Rene Hiddink.

The second most successful club in Ghana owes Hiddink $150,000 and has refused to settle his outstanding wages despite his sack, hence received transfer ban from FIFA. This ban prevents new player registrations both domestically and internationally, impacting their ability to strengthen the squad for the second transfer window of 2025/26 Ghana League season.

FIFA sanctioned a three-window ban after Hearts of Oak missed a 90-day deadline to settle the debt.

The scope of ban prevents Accra Hearts of Oak from registering any new players, a such failed to visit the January transfer market. The ban remains in effect until the debt is fully cleared.

However, dip throat within the outfit has disclosed that Hearts of Oak are pushing for the removal of ban as they have contacted representatives of Rene Hiddink for a settle.

According to the source, engagement between the two parties is far advanced and very positive for Hearts of Oak SC.

WHAT NEXT?

Should correspondence between Rene Hiddink and Accra Hearts of Oak end successfully and amicably, the club could register new player registrations both domestically and internationally, impacting their ability to strengthen the squad for the second transfer window of 2025/26 Ghana League season.
